2010-2011 Conservation Project
Our project for this year is to encourage members, and the outside community to reduce the use of disposable plastic bags. Did you know that plastic bags never go away? Unfortunately, it's true. You can help clean up our environment and stop adding to landfills, by reusing plastic bags or choosing a bag that you can use and then use again.
Several cities across the country are considering banning plastic bags from businesses like grocery stores. What do you think about this?
Our goal this year is to start a conversation about the use of plastic bags in our community and try to encourage our membership and the outside community to make small changes that can help the environment.
